Some time within the last week, I think, a little boy died as a result of… I don’t even know what to call it.
I’ve seen a couple of articles about the incident and I keep thinking about what the little one had done after the abuse occured:
” His skull fractured, [he] grabbed his blanket and [...]

I’ve been thoroughly enjoying, “The Soul of Baseball: A Road Trip Through Buck O’Neil’s America” by Joe Posnanski.
If you find this book, read pages 126 to 127.
If you’re a guy, you’ll discover an important lesson.
If you’re a woman, I hope you find a reason to wear your red dress.

Of the prettiest girl in town.
And we all hit .300.

Mr. Walt Kowalski

At one point… well, several points actually… during the movie Gran Torino I found myself to be the only one lauging when Mr. Kowalski (Clint Eastwood) made his racial jokes.
White audiences are like that. White audiences and suburbanite audiences are like that. They’re so appalled that they don’t see they’ve created [...]

Note: This post will be poorly-written. It’s more a collection of mental notes.
As I watched Gran Torino tonight I kept being reminded of many different people and aspects of my own life. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not Thao. Not even close. Never was. Don’t have it in me.
I kept thinking of my dad, my [...]

Where does bitterness take you?
To a broken heart?
To an early grave?
When I die
I want to die from natural causes.
