It’s going to be a bumpy October; not bad, just bumpy.

I forgot to mention I went paintballing w/ my cousin’s husband last weekend. Well, no, that’s a lie. I went to watch him and his friends go paintballing last weekend. It’s quite a sight to see. Thirty to forty guys who I doubt would be up at six o’clock in the morning driving out to Indiana to prepare for battle. The gear is impressive. The weapons have good weights to them and the clothing some of these guys bring is unreal.
I jumped at the invitation but decided to lay low because I didn’t know how I felt about pointing a weapon at someone and pulling the trigger. I become very uncomfortable when I’m in the sightlines of a projectile-launching anything so how could I do that to someone else? I just figured I’d sit this one out and watch first. (I get uneasy when I’m facing a spitball loaded straw.)
Anyway, it was fun to watch and next time I’ll jump in and blast ‘em away and get blasted in the process. No sense in taking myself to seriously.

Then I went to Anne & Terry’s in Winfield for their housewarming party. They had been out there for a while now and finally had their housewarming party. It was nice to see so many people show up. They have a great house for guests. .
I met an old co-worker at their party who is having a bumpy year. We talked about stuff and she seemed glad to be able to talk. I hope we get a chance to talk again. It makes me feel good to be able to listen to people who need to talk things out. Maybe I’ll look into that a bit more. We’ll see…
I rode Santos’ Dyna which made for a perfect way to close out last Saturday. It’s a great ride out their and back. Just long enough to make it feel like an adventure.
