That’s one thought I’m going to have to deal with quite a bit when other Filipinos learn of my intention to settle down here. I know I’m going to get that look from the human resource directors at Philippine hospitals where I apply for employment.
One thing I’ve noticed though. When I take the time to explain the rationale behind my decision they all seem to admire that which I am trying to accomplish. I don’t need their support per se but it’s nice to know that my logic is sound to at least a few people.
Remember before you left, I had a feeling that you were going to end up moving there? Wow. It’s coming true. I thought that my gut instinct would be wrong. I should know better.
