Before I get on my soapbox I’m going to say that people, as a whole, are an incredibly talented bunch. Now, that being said, I’m going to say that I LOVE the radio stations here. They play a mix of original Filipino contemporary pop stuff, American songs that I’ve never heard before, and Filipino covers of American songs. (I don’t like the covers because it hides the talent of Filipino Artists.)
In the U.S. you hear a lot of songs played many times. You’d think that every new band came from White Suburbia or Black Urban Ghettos or the new “Hispanic” Explosion. I just bring this up because it says something. Specifically, where are all the other people’s new music? Something to think about.
